Announced long ago, the time has now come: Google has decided to completely switch to mobile-first when indexing websites – in just six to twelve months. For you, this means: if your website is not yet optimised for mobile devices, you should do so now.

Google will use content from mobile websites with mobile-first indexing, while content that is not available on mobile devices will be treated less favourably by Google. The reason for this? More and more people are using web search on mobile devices and Google wants to satisfy this trend while maintaining user-friendliness.
